This is why chevron and shell and no and all of th are so gung ho on clinging to oil now in the states. They know it’s a losing game, they know that the farce they put on in the 2010s for going green was useless. But their short term quarterly profits were nice and high.
Now is the find out phase where the global demand starts slipping, and maybe they wish they had actually invested in other items.
Personally I think it’s so stupid. Think if Shell actually had been an “energy” company and had diversified into wind, solar, and then also oil. They or any of the others would be a near monopoly.
