I Thought My Azure Costs Were Under Control. I Was Wrong.
I Thought My Azure Costs Were Under Control. I Was Wrong.
I used to look at my Azure bill and think I had a reasonable handle on our cloud spending. But when I started looking at the details, I realized there were areas where we were spending more than necessary.
The challenge wasn’t simply knowing how much we were paying. It was understanding where the money was going and what was driving the cost. Some resources were underutilized, while others were costing us without delivering much value.
That’s when I started using Enkaytech’s FinOps tool. It gave me a clearer view of our Azure spending across subscriptions, resources, services, and workloads. More importantly, it helped me identify areas where we could look for potential savings.
Instead of waiting for the monthly bill and wondering why it increased, I could actually look at the data and understand what was happening. It made conversations around Azure cost control much more practical.
The experience also changed how I think about cloud costs. Cost optimization isn’t something you should look at only when the bill becomes too high. Regular visibility can help you catch unnecessary spending before it becomes a bigger problem.
If you’re dealing with a growing Azure bill and want to understand where the hidden waste could be, Enkaytech is hosting an upcoming webinar, “Your Azure Bill Went Up. Now What? How FinOps Finds and Fixes Hidden Waste.” The session will cover how FinOps can help identify cloud waste and find opportunities for cost savings.
Join the webinar on October 7 to see how FinOps can help you take better control of Azure costs. https://enkaytech.com/webinars/your-azure-bill-went-up-now-what/
